​Every 6 minutes an acre of wetlands is lost in the United States. With each acre lost, we all lose, because wetlands are nature’s most productive and prolific ecosystems, providing critical habitat to more than 900 wildlife species.  Sadly, each year the United States loses more than 80,000 of these valuable, ecologically crucial wetland acres.
